About Me
It’s been over 10 years since the last time I spoke with my mother. I can still hear her voice on the phone. “Maria, please drink plenty of water!” Even in her last days she wanted to take care me, the whole world really.
We discovered her breast cancer by accident during a routine medical examination. Healthy and strong her whole life, she never knew what it meant to be sick.
She went through radiation and chemotherapy treatments, and had a long period of remission.
During her chemotherapy treatments, we spend a lot of time together talking about the past and the future. Quiet conversations and many sessions of guided imagery helped alleviate her pain and nausea, and to stay positive.
In her last days she was surrounded by love, kindness, support and generosity of her friends.
In 2008, on the anniversary of her passing and in her memory, I started offering free hypnotherapy sessions for women and men who are either preparing for or are already undergoing chemo, radiation therapy.
That was a start.
