Cancer Resources
When my mother found out that she had cancer, she was not shocked, she wasn’t sad, but she was surprised. It was early summer, the doors and windows were open. She came in through the doors and simply said “I have cancer.”
The whole world went quiet. I could see her eyes. She was thinking. Then, she picked up her purse and left. She did not say anything.
2 hours later, when she came back, she had 12 books in her hands. She told me that she went to the library.
For the next two weeks she stayed home, looking through the books, reading and taking notes.
She wanted to know everything there is to know about cancer. I asked her “Why do you need all of these books? Don’t you trust your doctor?” She said: “I do. I do trust him, but I want to know what’s exactly happening inside of me right now, and I also want to know what is ahead of me, I want to see my future. These books give me a sense of my future. And it feels good.”
Since that summer, reading new books about cancer became a habit. I read and review new books and new research publications on cancer and alternative cancer treatments. Look below, these are the books that I found to be very good guides, telling the history of cancer, scientific theories and possible solutions. If you know any good books that are not on my list, please send me an email and I will add them to my list.
Happy journey.
